Event information

Thrusting 5 British Power Houses into the eyes minds, ears and soul of the industry.rnrnThis crop are the seed that you will see in the future of British Metal.rnrnHeadlined by a band who have just about everyone scrambling to see them, they carry the flag with pride and determination that METAL in the UK will fight on, fight hard and stand tall.rn...rnTHIS IS CUTTING EDGE STUFF!rn---------------------------------------------------------------------------rnBEHOLDERrnrn"It was already warm on Sunday morning when openers BEHOLDER (8) took to the stage. Frontman Simon Hall, for those who don't know, is one of the principle organisers of the Metal for the Masses arm of Bloodstock. He took a break from looking after the unsigned bands long enough to help get the day off to a great start. The old school metal vibe alongside a set of songs each containing either a memorable fist punching chorus or neck moving riff had the early rising crowd moving. Mr Hall seemed surprised with the reception, but today Beholder got everything they deserved." - Alan Hicks (http://www.komodorock.com/) @ Bloodstock 2009rnrnhttp://www.myspace.com/beholderukrnrnZOCALOrnrnZocalo are a Southern-Fried, groovey, stripped-down, beer-fuelled Metal band from south London. 6 years in the making we are now at our strongest, with our best songs and an excellent fan base. We still believe that music is more important than style or scene. Good music will win the day. We have easy, slow grooves with earthshaking guitar sound, pumping sexy bass, pounding drums and soaring vocals. We take all the best bits of blues, groove and Metal, strip them down to their barebones and soak it in beer, add fun and a good show.rnrnhttp://www.myspace.com/zocalorocksrnrnSILASrnrn"A few hours later it was the turn of SILAS (7.5), who had qualified via the Essex Metal 2 The Masses despite also being based around South East London. Their song writing has always shone at every venue they have played and the likes of 'In the grind' and 'Angels lie' finally get the platform they deserve, all their craft and inimitable polish shining down from the stage like flickers of light in a dark and muddy midlands realm. One doubts Bloodstock witnesses such a fusion of styles, ranging from metal to blues to jazz in a single thirty minute sprint for the rest of the weekend." - Alan Hicks (http://www.komodorock.com/) @ Bloodstock 2010rnrnhttp://www.myspace.com/silasworldrnrnSIZENrnrnFormed in October 2003, SIZEN deal in hefty grooves, sledge hammer riffs and mammoth melodies. Distinctly different from the identikit emo-popsters that proliferate today, this UK quartet have drawn inspiration from the band's they grew up loving - from Metallica to Soundgarden to Rage Against The Machine. But this is no nostalgic trip - Sizen have simply put song writing at the very centre of their existence, and 'What Do You See' demonstrates just how serious they are about bringing rock music kicking and screaming into the new millennium.rnrnhttp://www.myspace.com/sizenbandrnrnAVENGE THEE & NAIMErnrnWe are Avenge Thee, a metal band from yonder hills of Kent. We take good old metal from Pantera, Metallica and Slayer, and add other stuff into the mix so that it sounds good! This is metal, not your tight-clothes-one-eyed metal impersonators.rnrnhttp://www.myspace.com/avengetheern---------------------------------------------------------------------------rnSee you at the front! about Cutting Edge Industry Showcase at The Underworld.
