Formed by guitarist Michael Amott after his departure from the now legendary Carcass, ARCH ENEMY first garnered praise with the metal milestones Black Earth (1997), Stigmata (1998) and Burning Bridges (1999). Festival review: Sonisphere @ Knebworth Park - 08-10/07/11a

With only 2 years under the belt Sonisphere has gone a long way catching its nearest rival up at Donington. The 2 parties play down any rivalry but with both festivals booking similar acts it is obvious there is plenty to fight for each year; a fight that Sonisphere seems to have got better at in 2011 with a spanking line-up, including the big 4.
